According to the Winchester serial list, Manufacture year is 1956. End of year 1955 serial was 361,025 and end of 1956 was 393595. This serial is 377364
Gun says it was made in New Haven, CT.
On the sights - there are some barely there marks where a sight would have been yes but there was nothing on there when it was brought into the shop.
This Model 70 is in Excellent condition with very minimal scratches.
