Description:
24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 32 WCF caliber. Very good bore with shine and good rifling. Sights include a German silver blade front and semi-buckhorn sporting rear. Barrel and full length magazine tube retain about 95% blue with some some thinning and minor handling wear. Receiver has about 85% bright blue but shows some age freckling. Hammer and lever have traces of case colors. Bright blue on the loading gate. Forend cap retains most of its blue finish as well as the Takedown ring. Nice smooth functioning action. Walnut stock set is in good condition and fit well and are proud to the metal with some handling and usage mars. A little bit of figure showing as well. Rifle style buttplate. This Winchester rifle with Take-Down frame was made in 1894. Complete with a copy of a factory letter stating in the warehouse in November 1894 and shipped out in April 1895.
