"Serial no. 9130287729 (importer). Manufactured in 1939 at Izhevsk Arsenal, chambered in 7.62x54R,29"" round barrel. The bore is very good with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are matching. The left side of the receiver is import marked. The rifle has been post-war arsenal refinished, a common practice for Soviet service rifles retained for storage and later issue. The stock shows minimal handling marks and remains in very good condition. Pre-war dated examples such as this often exhibit slightly higher machining quality compared to later wartime production. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
