"Serial no. 68449. Manufactured in 1942 by Lithgow Small Arms Factory, chambered in .303 British,25"" round barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are non-matching. The finish and stock remain in overall very good condition, showing minimal handling wear. Lithgow-produced SMLE rifles were widely used by Australian and Commonwealth forces during WWII and are known for their durability and quality manufacture.
