"Serial no. 2168. Manufactured in 1874, chambered in 11.3x52Rmm,32"" round barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are matching on the barrel and buttplate. The receiver above the chamber is marked “C/123," while the bolt and its components have been rebuilt, a commonly encountered feature on Beaumont rifles due to service updates and maintenance. Factory markings remain sharp and clearly legible. The stock is very good, showing light handling and impression marks. The Model 1871/88 Beaumont represents the Netherlands’ primary bolt-action service rifle of the late 19th century, later updated to remain in service alongside newer designs. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
