High Standard Model HD Military target pistol with 6.75-inch barrel having Patridge front sight and early form horizontally adjustable rear sight. Left side of frame marked with the manufacturer name, address in New Haven, and caliber. The left side of the slide marked "HI-STANDARD / MODEL HD MILITARY". Full serial number applied vertically on the front strap. Roper style walnut grips as supplied from the factory. Bottom magazine release. Dual tone unmarked magazine with a polished, unmarked base.

Condition:

Near excellent original salt blue finish with sharp edge wear and a light scattering of freckling on top of the slide and on the front and back straps. Moderate firing as reflected by the bared metal at rear of barrel / front face of slide. Comparable condition grips with scattered handling marks, the right panel with noticeably thicker varnish than the left. Comparable condition magazine. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics.
