Attractive Japanese Arisaka Type 38 Nagoya Arsenal Long Rifle with intact mum, matching barrel band/bayonet lug and bolt. Complete with Japanese Type 30 bayonet with hooked quillon, blued blade, and metal scabbard.
Description:
Imperial Japanese Arisaka Type 38 bolt-action Nagoya Arsenal rifle with intact mum, SN: 87755, cal. 6.5×50mmSR . The 31.5" long barrel rifle has a drift adjustable front sight with protective ears and battle aperture/ladder rear sight. Matching barrel band/bayonet lug and bolt. Cleaning rod present. Unmarked handguard and stock fitted with cupped metal buttplate. Complete with Japanese Type 30 bayonet, subcontractor under Kokura supervision, with hooked quillon, blued blade, and metal scabbard.
Condition:
VG original condition with extensive freckling and toning as a carefully imaged. Stock with much of its original finish, oil darkened with numerous handling marks and occasional gouges. Surprisingly bright bore with crisp rifling. Correct manual mechanics. Bayonet with excellent, near new blade, the exposed quillon and other components with moderate/advanced handling/oxidative toning. Scabbard is generally good with a prominent dent on the upper left side.
