Description:
Make: J.P. Sauer & Sohn (Suhl, Germany)
Model: 38H
Finish: High polish blue
Caliber: .32ACP (7.65 Browning)
Action: Semi-automatic, DA/SA and internal hammer
Barrel length: 3.3"
Bore: Excellent- shiny with sharp rifling
Grips: Black bakelite grips with Sauer und Sohn insignia
Sights: Fixed front and rear sights
MFG Date: Mid WWII, approx 1942-1943
Features: Innovative dual purpose cocking and decocking lever for the time period, slim and lightweight construction, internal hammer, left side thumb safety, push button magazine release, and extremely simple field strip feature procedure. The pistol features a serial number matching slide as well as Eagle/N markings, which indicates it was non-military or police issued (typically issued to German Party members and state organizations).
Extras: Includes one correct, but not SN# marked 38H magazine.
Condition: Astonishing condition for a wartime German pistol of this age. The high polish blue finish has a bright shine and smooth finish, only showing very light wear on contact areas around the muzzle. The front and backstrap of the grip have some occasional finish loss consistent with light usage. The firearm is in good working order with functional manual controls and strong feed/ejection.
Shipping Cost: $25.00

Please refer to the photos for the overall condition. FFL is required. NO HANDGUN SALES IN MASS.

This mid-WWII Sauer 38H from J.P. Sauer & Sohn is exactly the type of piece serious WWII collectors look for — correct, matching, and remarkably well preserved.
Produced circa 1942–43, it retains its high-polish blue with an impressive, bright finish that stands out among typical wartime survivors. The matching slide, proper Eagle/N commercial proofs, and period-correct magazine make this a highly desirable commercial example, representative of pistols issued to Party members and state organizations rather than standard military contracts.
Mechanically innovative for its time — with its unique cocking/decocking lever and DA/SA system — the 38H represents one of the most advanced compact pistols of the Third Reich era.
A sharp, honest, investment-grade WWII German pistol with excellent eye appeal and strong collector presence.
