Description:
This is a near excellent Canadian Civil Defense MkII Brodie Helmet painted white with a Wardens "W" on the front and back. this design features a non-magnetic manganese steel shell and rim, designed to prevent interference with magnetic compasses. This helmet was made by William Dodson & Sons of Birmingham, dated 1938. The helmet is in excellent overall condition with original paint and finish. The helmet liner is in excellent condition built by Viceroy Manufacturing Co of Toronto, marked C/Arrow 54, built around the same time. The rubber, leather and foam parts are in very good original condition and all of the parts are present. The leather is starting to crack and is not real pliable. The chin strap is excellent with nice stretch left. ;
