Description: The Savage Model 23-B Sporter is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .25-20 produced by Savage Arms between 1923 and 1940. This rifle is a fine example of this. Featuring a 24.5 inch barrel and an original "cheese grater" detachable box magazine (included), this rifle is considered a great vintage small-game and varmint rifle.  This rifle's walnut stock is in very, very nice condition. The stock has very few handling marks with no scratches, chips, gouges, or cracks. The rifle's bore is clean and strong. This Savage's bluing is in nice condition with very few handling marks. Thin bluing on trigger guard and buttplate, but no rust or pitting. Please see pictures for details. All used firearms should be inspected by a qualified gunsmith prior to firing. All items are sold as photographed unless other arrangements are made. We accept USPS Money Order, cashier’s check, or credit card for immediate shipping. If your item comes with a scope, we will detach it, package it separately, then include it in the shipped box unless specified otherwise by the purchaser.  Postage Costs include adult 21 yr old signature required fee to your FFL 01 or 03.  We will pay the shipping insurance for the amount sold. Purchasers can request any long gun (up to 48 inches in length) purchase to be shipped in a hard case for an additional $30 fee. Buyer will be responsible for any additional charges above the $50 shipping fee that may occur with hard case shipping.
