The Smith & Wesson M&P 9 M2.0 is a striker-fired handgun featuring a high-strength polymer frame reinforced with an extended stainless-steel chassis. This 9mm Luger pistol typically comes with a 4.25-inch barrel and utilizes a low barrel bore axis designed to manage muzzle rise. The M2.0 series includes an updated trigger system characterized by a lighter pull and a tactile reset compared to previous iterations. The exterior surfaces of the slide and barrel are treated with an Armornite corrosion-resistant finish, and the frame includes an aggressive grip texture alongside four interchangeable palmswell inserts to accommodate different hand sizes.Designed with modularity in mind, the chassis includes an integrated Picatinny-style rail for the attachment of various accessories. The pistol is equipped with ambidextrous controls, including the slide stop and an optional manual safety. Its stainless-steel magazines generally offer a 17-round capacity. The physical dimensions and ergonomic features of the M&P 9 M2.0 are engineered to provide a consistent point of aim and facilitate ease of maintenance for the user.
