This old Harpers Ferry civil war era musket was found while tearing down a barn near Waseca, Illinois. The full 3 band walnut stock is in good condition but is somewhat dried out. The lock functions on full cock and is marked HARPERS FERRY 1851 (51 very faint and hard to read) with the US and eagle. All metal parts are dark brown and has pitting through out (as would be expected from the environment). The matching correct bayonet is available for 95.00 if purchased with the musket. The ramrod and top sling swivel are missing. A very interesting old musket. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Shipping will be actual cost by insured USPS mail with tracking.
