Description:
An exceptionally fine 1972 20ga A-1 Special Parker Upgrade by Robert Runge and Delgrego. This gun built with 26" barrels, finely fleur-de-lis pattern checkered beavertail forend and has reinforced forend lug. Frame is profusely engraved with flower bouquets and fine scroll and has "PARKER BROS" inlaid in gold on bottom of frame. Bottom of frame with beautifully carved pig tails and fences are also beaded. Long tang trigger guard with SN in gold. Straight grip buttstock is of beautifully flame figured American Walnut, is fantastically checkered and carved in true A-1 Special pattern and terminates with its fully scroll engraved skeleton buttplate. Gun is signed and dated in minute lettering on left side of frame by engraver as seen in the photos!
This gun remains as new since upgrading. It retains virtually all Runge and Delgrego finishes to wood and metal surfaces. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are perfect.
