Great Versatile Gun for the American Frontier
Here Ancestry Guns presents a W. Richards Underlever Combination Rifle & Shotgun, chambered for 12 gauge and .44-40 Winchester. This piece was made in Liege, Belgium for the American market. It would have been handy for just about anyone as it was chambered in two of the most popular and versatile cartridges of the time. It could be used in the field to hunt multiple types of game, such as fowl and small furbearers or medium game such as deer.
The overall condition is good. Dark patina throughout. The actions are strong. The bores are in good condition with strong rifling in that bore. The trigger guard tang has a small repair. The stock is solid. Barrel is 26 inches.
