A very fine example of the S&W Model 36 (no dash) Chief's Special. All metal and wood finishes are excellent. The metal has no rust or pitting. The bluing is very good with just a few handling marks. There is a turn ring. Sights are fixed with a serrated ramp. The grips are very good with no chips or cracks, ar factory and numbered to the gun. The bore is excellent. Just a great lookng model 36.
This is a very nice Smith & Wesson revolver and would make a great carry piece, range toy or one for the collection. I am in no way an expert in the older S&W revolvers so any correction or added information to the listing would be appreciated. There is no box but just what is shown. The revolver is qualified for C&R transfers. The revolver will enjoy the standard GI 3 day no firing nor disassembly inspection beginning when the parcel is delivered you the FFL as shown by USPS tracking.
