INCREDIBLE CASED WEATHERBY ATHENA D'ITALIA SIDEPLATE SXS IN 28 GAUGE.
Appears to be unfired,as new condition, manufactured in Italy for weatherby. This beautiful side by side shotgun is rearly seen on the market especially in a desirable 28 gauge. 26" barrels with solid rib and brass bead front sight.
Chambered 2-3/4 shells, bottom of the barrels stamped with 3 star symbols on the left and 4 star symbols on the right. Boxlock action with single gold washed trigger, coin finished action with intricate English style floral scroll engraved motive. " Designed by C. Giovanelli ". Blued lever and trigger guard with gold "W' Weatherby logo. Fitted with highly figured oil finished walnut stock with round knob with two- point, skip- line finaly checkered grip.
Matching splinter style forearm with Anson release and and skip -line fine checkering on all sides.
Comes in the original factory take -down case with valvet covers.
