Description:
These extraordinary little guns were made from 1964 to approximately 1968 in this configuration and in the lesser grade K Mart Mohawk version until approximately 74. Most were chambered in 308, 243, 6mm, fewer in 222, 6.5, 350 (we also have a really nice 350..inquire) and very rared 223.
These were waaaay ahead of their time, since then many carbine bolt guns have been produced but these unique little 35" overall length light weight super accurate little gems led the way.
A boyhood pal who was a comp shooter and who's dad an amature gunsmith was given one (in 6mm) for his lst deer rifle ....it was a 1" gun with factory ammo as are most of these that we are aware of.
This example is especially uncommon in this respect: the metal is at approximately 100%, and the plstic factory ribs which have become brittle with age and many are found with some damage...this one is PERFECT and not damaged at all.
There was a professional repair at the wrist; additiaonally pined. The pins are visible ....should easily be covered and touched up with stock stain but we have not done so.
