SIG manufactured M49, first Danish contract, original condition, early production, in matching shipping box with booklet.
Description:
Relatively scarce first variation Danish contract M49, high polish blue with drift adjustable front and rear sights, serial range 1-16607 made between 1948-1951. Left side of slide with SIG logo. Left frame is marked with the cal, model reference, and crown/HTK. The full serial number is on the right side of the barrel, slide, frame, and original hammer group with no half cock. Wood serrated grips secured with a single transverse fire blued screw. Lanyard ring present. Correct high polish magazine. Complete with matching shipping box that references this pistol as “Category A” and a multilingual factory booklet.
Condition:
VG + with sharp edge and holster wear in usual locations for a pistol that has seen moderate use. Comparable condition grips with scattered handling dings, staining, and discolorations. Near excellent high polish magazine and crisp shipping box. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics.
