Description:
Offered for sale is a traditional percussion half stock rifle featuring a 33” octagonal barrel and classic American styling. This rifle represents the mid 19th century transition period from flintlock to percussion ignition, with a clean and functional caplock system.

The rifle is stocked in walnut with a warm, aged tone and attractive hand carved details, including decorative molding and checkering at the wrist. Brass furniture is present throughout, including the trigger guard, buttplate, patchbox, and ramrod thimbles, all showing a pleasing, natural patina.

The percussion lock is intact with hammer and nipple assembly present. Metal surfaces show even aging and honest wear consistent with use and age, adding to the rifle’s character.

Condition is good overall. The stock remains solid with scattered handling marks, and the barrel and hardware show typical oxidation and wear. This example appears to be a later 19th century or reproduction piece rather than an early original, making it an accessible and attractive addition to a black powder collection.

A well balanced and visually appealing percussion rifle, suitable for display, collecting, or black powder shooting.

We warrant that the firearms are as they appear in our photos but do not warrant mechanical
condition or operation.
