Description:
24 inch octagon barrel. Full length tube magazine. Sights include a Rocky Mountain front sight with a German silver blade, a semi-buckhorn sporting-style rear and a Lyman peep sight on the tang, Plain walnut forearm with matching straight grip buttstock fit with a crescent rifle trapdoor buttplate. Features added sling eyes. Barrel shows about 60% finish with wear, handling marks and some scattered light pitting toward the muzzle. Magazine tube has little to no finish appearing a dull gray with a brown tone. The receiver shows about 40% thinning finish starting to turn brown with some scratches on the left side. Stocks appear to have a coat of finish added some time ago now showing wear and handling marks. Manufactured in 1888.
