Description:
This is an original Smith sporter with a 33 7/16" tapered barrel converted to centerfire 50/70 Govt. Liner is from H&H barrel works and the rifling is pristene. Stocked in walnut with wrap around checkering wrist and forearm. Nose insert on forearm is ebony. Buttplate is exact copy of Hawken brothers plains rifles. Sights are original with a barrel swivel. Barrel is tapered 1.18'at the breech to 0.88" at the muzzle. Estimated production 200-300 units.
