Romarm SAR-3 – Romanian AKM Pattern Rifle – 5.56x45mm NATO – CAI Import
For sale is a CAI Romarm SAR-3 semi-automatic rifle, chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. This Romanian-made AK-pattern rifle is in great used condition and delivers the reliable AKM operating system in the popular 5.56 caliber. Built at the Cugir factory in Romania and imported by Century Arms International (St. Albans, VT), this SAR-3 is a well-regarded cold-war era variant. Serial Number: S3-02533-2000.
The SAR-3 features a 16.25-inch chrome-lined barrel with a plain crowned, unthreaded muzzle. It has a stamped receiver with a ribbed top cover and magazine-well dimples. The rifle wears traditional wood furniture (fixed wood stock, wooden handguards) with an extended beavertail-style foregrip reminiscent of Monte Carlo stocks. It has been upgraded with a Picatinny rail, a lightweight side-folding stock, and an OD Green strap. The cleaning rod is included. No magazine is included. Original AK sights are retained: an open-ear post front and a tangent leaf rear graduated to 1,000 meters.
