This is a very early Colt 1911 pistol, made in 1913 and shipped to US NAVY as per Colt Historical letter. The gun is all original with excellent blueing with about 95% remaining with light holster wear and some toning on the grip straps. All parts correct and original, including a "horizontal HP " stamped barrel with very good bore. Very nice grips. The blueing is early Colt - deep and lustrous. The slide is stamped with Model of US Navy designation - only present on early Navy guns. Original lanyard loop magazine.
This is a fantastic example of a desirable early US Navy pistol.
