"8 ¾" long blade and 13 ¾" long overall. This is a rare New Orleans made bowie. The blade has pitting and has a mottled gray patina. The spine of the blade is marked Manufactured for F.C. Goergen New Orleans , but is only partially visible. The handle is very good. This knife comes with the original sheath. New Orleans made bowies are some of the most in demand antique knives.
