The rifle features blued chopper lump barrels with express sights, claw scope mounts carrying a Zeiss Diavari-D 1.5-6x scope, automatic ejectors, and elegant oak leaf scroll engraving throughout. The sidelock action is beautifully finished and showcases detailed African game scenes including lions, a leopard, and a Cape buffalo, all surrounded by masterfully executed scrollwork signed by renowned engraver Alan Brown. Additional features include double triggers, cocking indicators, tang safety, and a hidden third fastener. Exceptionally figured walnut furniture with fine checkering, engraved fittings, shadowline cheekpiece, and leather covered recoil pad complete this true best quality dangerous game rifle.
Condition:
Excellent overall, retaining 99% original black and brushed bright finishes with minor handling evidence, a few minor patches of dried grease on the action/lockplates, and sharp checkering on the beautiful stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The case and accessories are also excellent. The scope optics are sharp.
