"Serial no. 4671658. Manufactured circa 1954 by Springfield Armory, chambered in .30-06 Springfield,24"" round barrel marked “SA F6535448 NM O 9-54 A2148B DOD Eagle." The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The bolt is marked “D6528287 HRA/U," and the receiver is stamped “A20A/D28291 35." The operating rod has been cut and is marked “D35382-9 SA." The trigger assembly is correctly Springfield Armory marked. The rifle is equipped with an M1C sniper mount marked “FSN 1240-647-1107 / MOUNT TELESCOPE / Griffin & Howe Inc.," and is fitted with an M82 scope, which has had its original military markings removed; optics remain clear. A brown leather cheek piece marked “K LINE" is installed. The stock remains in very good condition, showing minimal handling impressions. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
