This rifle is in excellent used condition and represents the pinnacle of Cooper's American craftsmanship – a true collector's piece and an incredibly fun small game hunting rifle. Serial Number: 17-136. Original box is included. The .17 CCM is the smallest of the reloadable .17 caliber centerfire cartridges, developed by Dan Cooper of Cooper Firearms. Based on the .22 CCM case (which was intended as a centerfire, reloadable alternative to the .22 WMR), the .17 CCM pushes lightweight 15-grain bullets to nearly 3,500 fps with very little noise and minimal fouling. Note: New .17 CCM ammunition is no longer manufactured; shooters must reload their own brass. The bullet is no longer in official production, making this rifle particularly desirable for collectors and dedicated handloaders.
