Description:
Remington Model 8 in .30 Rem caliber with a round knob pistol grip. The thinning blue is rated about 75% with some light scratches and freckling. The wood is about 65% with dings and scratches. There are no cracks but sling swivels were added to the rear stock and forend. The forend also has remnants of a factory checkering pattern which is almost worn off. No checkering visable on the pistol grip area. The LOP is 14".The take down swivel was removed and replaced with round head screw. A vintage Leather sling has been added. The rear sight is Patent dated. The front sight has the small silver bead intac which is commonly knocked off. The butt plate is the less common shotgun type with Remington UMC in circle and Trade Mark with checkering. The bore is very good showing strong rifling and slightly dark but very shootable.The serial number is 35818 which matches the forward assembly. The gun was well used and probably visited many deer camps in the past but it would make a good shooter or hunting rifle. Everything appears to function fine .If needed, I could provide a nice box of 30 Rem ammo at extra cost. Shipping is $30.00 to the Continental US not to include AK or HI.
