The Thompson/Center (T/C) Compass Utility is a"no-frills" bolt-action hunting rifle designed as a budget friendly alternative to the standard Compass and Compass II models. In .308 Winchester, it features a 21.625-inch barrel (frequently marketed as 22") with 5R rifling to enhance accuracy and reduce fouling. Uses five lands and grooves with sloped transitions to minimize bullet deformation, leading to improved accuracy and easier cleaning.
