Colt Officers Model 38 Owned by JD Hatfield Son of Devil Anse. Devil Anse the patriarch of the Hatfield clan during the Hatfield McCoy feud. 4.5" barrel with excellent bore. Gold bead front sight. Pistol shipped January 31, 1927 to Emmons Hawkins Hardware Company in Huntington WV and sold to JD Hatfield (Joseph Davis Hatfield). He became the Sheriff of Logan County WV in 1929. Serial# 532406. Pistol is in excellent condition see photos. Letter from the Office of the Colt Historian included.
