"Serial no. C2730. Manufactured circa 1956 at Factory 26 (Jianshe Arsenal), chambered in 7.62x39mm,20 ½"" round barrel. Serial numbers are matching. The rifle remains in overall excellent condition, showing minimal handling wear. The left side of the receiver is import marked. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling. The “C" prefix followed by a four-digit serial number is a classic Sino-Soviet pattern, representing some of the earliest Chinese-produced SKS carbines made under direct Soviet supervision using supplied tooling and components. These early 1956 rifles bridge Soviet and Chinese production characteristics and are among the more desirable variations of the Type 56 SKS. While most Sino-Soviet examples are associated with Factory 26, they are distinguished by their early serial format and transitional features. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
