"Serial no. WO4824. Manufactured circa 1950s by Zastava Arms, chambered in 8mm Mauser,23 ½"" round barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are matching. The receiver crest has been removed and the receiver has been drilled and tapped, with a scope base mounted at the rear, indicating conversion to a scoped or “sniper-style" configuration. The stock remains in very good condition, showing minimal handling wear. Yugoslav M48 rifles are based on the Mauser 98 pattern and were produced post-WWII for military service, with some later modified for sporting or precision roles. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
