Description:
A really nice 28ga built with 26" blued steel barrels. Breech ends of barrels with small ring of engraving. Polished flats with proof stamps, SN, and rear lug with maker's names "REMO, TONY, FRANCO". Slim beavertail forend is point pattern checkered with floral engraved blued Anson type push button release and iron. Center of forearm with gold maker's crest. Left lock plate is engraved with scene of Diana, hunting dog, and nude women in field. Right lock plate is engraved with Diana and women as they return from hunt with hunting dog and hunt gift of a deceased bird. Bottom action is engraved with Diana sitting with a pair of hunting dogs in woods. Engraving by "SABATTI P." which is engraved on right side of trigger plate. Blued long tang trigger guard with bow engraved with floral scroll and tang which has SN at center. Gun built with single trigger, auto ejectors, non-auto safety. Very nicely figured diamond shaped straight grip European walnut buttstock with carved teardrops behind sidelocks, is checkered in point pattern through the wrist, has gold inlaid original owners emblem on comb "JBE" (Joe Bojalad), and terminates with its original checkered butt. Gun is housed in its original black leatherette and red felt interior maker's case.
This gun is extremely fine showing some very limited field use. Brls with 98% original blue remaining. Coin finish is generally excellent. Buttstock and forend are excellent with very minor handling marks and a tiny flake beginning to appear aft of top tang. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are excellent. Case is very good.
