It blends classic aesthetics with high-tech materials to solve the traditional weight issue of full-sized .45s. S&W uses Scandium Alloy rare Earth element to create a frame that is as light as aluminum but has the durability and strength of steel. It features a titanium firing pin, an oversized combat ejection port, and a precision-fit trigger with a crisp, clean break. The heel of the grip is rounded off.
