Offered for sale is a Lee-Enfield SMLE Mk III* rifle, one of the most iconic military rifles of the 20th century. Chambered in .303 British, the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield served British and Commonwealth forces extensively through World War I, World War II, and numerous conflicts around the world.
This Mk III* variant reflects wartime production simplifications while retaining the fast-cycling bolt action and 10-round magazine capacity that made the Enfield famous for its battlefield performance. The rifle displays original military character with period markings, honest service wear, and a nicely aged patina throughout.
The wood stock shows typical handling marks, scratches, and dings consistent with military service and long-term storage. Metal finish remains in respectable collectible condition with expected finish wear for its age. Bolt cycles smoothly, and the rifle presents well as both a shooter and collectible military surplus firearm.
