Up for sale is an original Swedish Mauser M96 rifle manufactured in 1908, chambered in the classic 6.5x55 Swedish cartridge. Produced at Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori, the M96 is widely regarded as one of the finest military bolt-action rifles ever made, known for its exceptional machining, smooth action, and outstanding accuracy.
This early-production example retains its original military configuration and classic Scandinavian craftsmanship. The receiver date of 1908 places it firmly in the pre-WWI era, making it a highly desirable collector’s piece from the golden age of Mauser design.
