Description:
The Colt Open Top revolver is a single-action, spur-trigger handgun chambered in .22 Short with a seven-shot capacity. It features a 2.5-inch barrel fitted with a fixed front sight. The revolver has a nickel finish and smooth wood bird’s head grips, characteristic of Colt’s small-frame rimfire models produced in the late 19th century. The frame and barrel assembly display the compact proportions typical of the Open Top design, with the loading port located on the right side of the frame.
This revolver is used and shows age-consistent characteristics for an antique firearm. The action cycles and locks through its single-action mechanism, and the timing aligns properly with cylinder rotation. The bore surface is dark, consistent with long-term storage and age-related oxidation common to early rimfire revolvers. The serial number 104419 is present and matches on the barrel, indicating original component alignment for this individual piece.
