The Springfield model of 1873 "Trapdoor" was the first standardized breechloading rifle adopted by the United States. This example is a Cavalry carbine, with its 22" barrel, overall condition is good to very good, with wear reflecting its age. bore condition is good, with only minor signs of corrosion and the stock shows no faults.
