The Winchester Model 101 Pigeon Grade is a high-quality, Japanese-made (Olin Kodensha) over-and-under shotgun produced between 1963 and 1987, highly regarded for its sleek design, reliability, and superior engraving compared to the standard field grade. It often features Grade III European walnut, intricate scroll engraving with birds, and is considered a durable, collectible, and well-balanced firearm for field or clay shooting. Key Features and Details Production: Manufactured in Japan from 1963–1987 (often marked "XTR" or "Pigeon Grade"). Grade & Quality: The Pigeon Grade sits above the standard Field Grade, featuring better wood and extensive engraving, including a pigeon on the bottom of the receiver.
