This Winchester Model 1886 Deluxe Takedown rifle is chambered in the classic .33 Winchester caliber and was manufactured in 1919, representing an elite, special-order configuration of John Browning’s legendary lever-action design. The rifle is in very good condition, showcasing an incredibly smooth-cycling action, a mirror-bright bore with crisp rifling, and a beautifully preserved finish with minor, honest handling marks on its wood and metalwork. This highly prized collector's piece is adorned with stunning factory-executed engraving on the receiver, featuring highly detailed, artistic vignettes of a moose and a bear scene. Adding to its unique special-order lineage, the rifle features a premium, highly figured deluxe walnut stock built with an extended length of pull (LOP) to accommodate a taller shooter, complete with crisp factory checkering and a matching pistol grip. Equipped with its signature user-friendly takedown mechanism and a 24-inch barrel, this museum-grade firearm offers a spectacular blend of historic American craftsmanship and rare mechanical provenance.
