Description:
Very Nice 1977 Marlin model 444S chambered in .444 Marlin. Features a 22" “JM” Stamped Barrel with Micro-Groove Rifling and a mint bore. American Black Walnut pistol grip stock. 5 shot tube magazine with open sights with a Lyman Rear Sight installed. The front sight has the brass bead.
This was produced from 1972-1983. This rifle shows very well. It has not been shot much. It does have some handling marks in the stock and most to all are at the butt end. Features a Marlin trademark Gold Trigger with black butt pad.
The .444 Marlin cartridge was developed for lever guns and is a longer, more powerful version of the .44 Magnum. It makes it very suitable for big game in most hunting environments.
