"Serial number 7865. Made circa late 1850s- to early 1860s. 44 caliber with a 6" barrel. This is a very sharp gun with 15% of the original blue while most of the metal has a smooth dark brown patina. The grips have been cleaned, but the cartouche is still very sharp. The action works perfectly.
