"Serial number 31655. Made in 1853. 36 caliber with a 7.5" barrel. This is a very sharp small trigger guard Colt 1851 Navy. There is a dark bluish gray patina. The one [piece ivory grips are very good. This gun comes in a factory case with very good Colt accessories. There is an old cabinet card of a soldier, but we have no idea if any if there is a connection to this gun.
