Offered here is a high-grade custom bolt-action sporting rifle built by respected American rifle maker Winston Elrod on a classic Winchester Model 70 action. This rifle represents a refined example of traditional American custom rifle craftsmanship, combining performance, balance, and exceptional aesthetics.
Chambered in .30-06 Springfield and fitted with a 22” barrel, this rifle is configured as a true all-around sporting rifle-equally suited for field use or as part of a serious custom rifle collection.
The standout feature of this rifle is its beautifully figured walnut stock, often referred to as “crystal grip” walnut. The wood displays strong contrast and depth, with clean, classic lines that reflect proper stock architecture and balance. The pistol grip configuration and 13 1/2” length of pull provide excellent handling characteristics.
