The bolt face and inside of the receiver look as good as the outside and it appears this gun was not shot a lot and it remains in excellent mechanical condition with a bore like new. This is a solid original Winchester Lever for hunting and shooting that will go another lifetime. This Model 71 has had excellent custodians the entire 69 years since it left New Haven, Conn.
