Description:
The Iver Johnson IJ800 is a 12-gauge side-by-side shotgun built on a break-action design. It features 20-inch barrels chambered for both 2¾-inch and 3-inch shells, configured as a traditional coach gun with a two-round capacity. The barrels are blued, paired with a black anodized receiver, and fitted with a front brass bead sight for straightforward alignment. The shotgun’s overall layout reflects a compact double-barrel configuration suited to the coach-style format.
Key components include dual shell extractors, a selectable tang safety, and a gold-plated trigger. The stock and forend are made of wood with checkering for improved handling, and a soft rubber recoil pad is fitted at the butt. The firearm is equipped with screw-in choke tubes, allowing the user to adapt the shot pattern as needed. The receiver and barrel fitment demonstrate the typical break-action locking system used on double guns of this type.
Included with the IJ800 are five interchangeable choke tubes with a wrench, a gun lock, and the original box and manuals. The barrels are configured with Full and Modified chokes installed. The overall presentation corresponds to the manufacturer’s standard package for this model, providing the complete factory accessory set associated with the 12-gauge IJ800 coach configuration.
