For sale is an exceptionally clean and beautifully preserved Remington Model 1100 chambered in 12 Gauge with a 28-inch vent rib barrel and factory Modified choke. Regarded by many as one of the smoothest and most iconic semi-automatic sporting shotguns ever produced, the Remington 1100 set the standard for reliability, balance, and recoil reduction in the American shotgun market.
This particular example was manufactured during the late 1970s to early 1980s production era and remains in outstanding overall condition. The shotgun features elegant factory scroll engraving on both sides of the receiver along with matching engraved bolt detailing that gives the firearm an unmistakably classic sporting appearance.
The original high-polish blued finish remains exceptionally strong throughout with minimal visible handling wear. The receiver, barrel, and operating components all present extremely well and reflect careful ownership over the life of the firearm.
Equally impressive is the factory walnut stock and forend. The wood retains its rich original gloss finish with attractive grain figure, crisp factory checkering, and excellent wood-to-metal fit. The furniture remains remarkably clean and gives this shotgun the refined appearance collectors and shooters alike seek in vintage Remington sporting arms.
The 28-inch vent rib barrel is chambered for 2¾-inch shells and fitted with a Modified choke, making this shotgun an excellent all-around platform for upland hunting, waterfowl, sporting clays, trap shooting, or general field use. The bore is bright and clean, and the shotgun balances beautifully in the hands.
