For sale is a very interesting and historically significant IBM-manufactured M1 Carbine. This example features a correct IBM Corp. marked barrel and receiver, making it one of the scarcer contractor variants from WWII production (IBM produced approximately 346,500 carbines during the war).
The stock displays clear Korean Armory markings, consistent with carbines that were provided to South Korea via Lend-Lease programs or post-WWII military assistance and later returned/imported. These Korean refurb or property marks add a unique chapter to this carbine’s service history, likely seeing use during or after the Korean War era before coming stateside.
