Description: The M1911 pistol was the first semi automatic pistol adopted by the U.S. Army and subsequent branches, with the M1911A1 being the improved version developed shortly before the second world war. The Colt Government Model MKIV differed from earlier 1911 pistols through the addition of a "Collet" style bushing to improve barrel fit and accuracy. Many of these pistols were often accurized into competition style pistols and were generally well liked. This example has had a few parts changed from factory, likely to improve use as a target/competition pistol. These upgraded parts include an extended slide release, upgraded sights and a flared ejection port. Overall condition, aside from the aftermarket upgrades is very good, with moderate wear, and the pistol comes with two Pachmayr magazines.
