One of the first Type I models made in 1966 and listed in the Lippard book, serial 5359 (all matching) has two sets of 29.5-inch barrels ( IC/M & M/F). Barrels are 29.5 inches with matted vent ribs (tapering to .300-inch at muzzles, single beads), 2.75-inch chambers and ejectors. Features include an automatic safety, cocking indicators and a single trigger (non-select, inertia). ENGRAVING: The action, guard, tangs and latch showcase Perazzi's superb floral pattern to full coverage. The opening lever takes the form of a crouching fox and small initials “MAP” appear on the receiver (bottom front). DIMENSIONS: Weight is 8.2 pounds. Length-of-pull is 14.6 inches over the pad (13.45 inches to end of wood), drops are 1.4 and 1.65 inches, and cast off is approximately .45-inch. CONDITION: Acquired by the consigning estate in early 1967, condition is strong. Bores are bright, barrels on face and ejectors operate with enthusiasm. Mechanics are solid. Barrel finishes each exceed 90 percent. Actions/engraving are flawless. The fore exceeds 95 percent while the butt is approximately 90 percent, the majority of adjustment from the pad addition.
